Damien Rochford

Damien Rochford lives in Hampshire UK , and has been sculpting since 2007. He works in a contemporary figurative style, realistic in form with reduced detail.

Damien uses a variety of materials when sculpting, including clays, polymer clay, plaster and waxes, each material has its own tactile and working characteristics influencing how each of his pieces develops.

Along with the human form and portraiture Damien also loves animals as  subjects for his sculptures. Their beauty of form, movement, strength and spirit are a great inspiration in his work.

By striving for a keen sense of balance, harmony of composition, pose, movement and form Damien hopes to achieve work that offers more than just a representation of his chosen subject.

Many great sculptors have served as inspiration for Damien’s work, particularly and including; Henry Moore, August Rodin and Gian Lorenzo Bernini.

Artworks are cast in 'foundry' bronze using the lost wax process, then hand finished and patinated, making each piece a unique work of art.  They are then produced in limited fine art editions.

Damiens work can be viewed at here at Living Art in Hungerford.
